You may encounter several types of errors when attempting to use the onboard Mozilla Firefox. Although the errors are varied, some common symptoms include:

  • Windows error messages about firefox.exe not being a valid application.
  • Firefox will not launch when you try to open it.
  • Firefox repeatedly crashes during normal use.

You can follow these steps to reinstall the application:

  1. Insert and unlock the IronKey.
  2. Open the "Secure Files" volume.
  3. Locate the "IronKey-System-Files" folder (You may need to enable Windows "Show Hidden Files and Volumes" in the Tools > Folder Options > View menu).
  4. Rename "Mozilla Firefox" to "Mozilla Firefox-old".
  5. Rename "FirefoxData" to "FirefoxData-old".
  6. Open the IronKey Control Panel and click on the Mozilla Firefox icon. This will automatically re-install the application and then launch it.
